FAQ
Common questions
Do I need a boating licence?
Yes. All operators in Canada require a Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC). You can get certified online through BoatSmart or Transport Canada-approved providers in about a day.
What tow vehicle do I need?
Any vehicle rated to tow at least 700 kg with a standard 1-7/8" or 2" ball hitch. Most trucks, SUVs, and larger crossovers qualify. Sedans typically do not.
Can 3 people ride at once?
Yes — the Spark 3up is rated for up to 3 riders. Life jackets are included for all seats.
What if I damage the unit?
A security deposit is held at booking. Any damage beyond normal wear is assessed against the deposit. We walk you through the unit at pickup to document its condition.
Which lakes can I use it on?
Any lake you can legally access and launch a PWC on — you're responsible for launch fees and local regulations. Cook's Bay / Lake Simcoe is a popular nearby option.
Is there a security deposit?
Yes, a refundable deposit is required at pickup. The amount is confirmed at booking and returned in full upon damage-free return of the unit.
